Dubai Metro Progress
I was at the site where the main station for the Dubai Metro will be, what was once Union Square Park. Perhaps I just didn’t notice it before, but there’s a big sign, which, as of today, said 1,1 1 8 days until completion.
I will go back sometime next week to see if the numbers have changed.

There used to be a sign which told everyone driving north on SZR how high the Burj Dubai tower had got to. But it appears to have disappeared!
This will stop as well. They'll start to skip a day hear and there, and eventually it will get forgotten. When the project gets rebased and put back, they wont know how to recalculate.
GS - you're right - just like what happened with the Jumeirah Beach Road!
